وَنَادَىٰٓ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالًۭا يَعْرِفُونَهُم بِسِيمَىٰهُمْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

سُورَةُ الأَعۡرَافِ
English — Sahih International
And the companions of the Elevations will call to men [within Hell] whom they recognize by their mark, saying, "Of no avail to you was your gathering and [the fact] that you were arrogant."

پھر یہ اعراف کے لوگ دوزخ کی چند بڑی بڑی شخصیتوں کو ان کی علامتوں سے پہچان کر پکاریں گے کہ "دیکھ لیا تم نے، آج نہ تمہارے جتھے تمہارے کسی کام آئے اور نہ وہ ساز و سامان جن کو تم بڑی چیز سمجھتے تھے

Dan orang-orang yang di atas A'raaf memanggil beberapa orang (pemuka-pemuka orang kafir) yang mereka mengenalnya dengan tanda-tandanya dengan mengatakan: "Harta yang kamu kumpulkan dan apa yang selalu kamu sombongkan itu, tidaklah memberi manfaat kepadamu".
Ibn Kathir
مَآ أَغْنَى عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ
("Of what benefit to you was your gathering...") meaning, your great numbers,
وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
("...and your arrogance") This Ayah means, your great numbers and wealth did not save you from Allah's torment. Rather, you are dwelling in His torment and punishment. `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas,
أَهَـؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لاَ يَنَالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ
(Are they those, of whom you swore that Allah would never show them mercy) refers to the people of Al-A`raf who will be told when Allah decrees:
ادْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلاَ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
((Behold! It has been said to them): "Enter Paradise, no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve.")
المُيَسَّر
ونادى أهل الأعراف رجالا من قادة الكفار الذين في النار، يعرفونهم بعلامات خاصة تميزهم، قالوا لهم: ما نفعكم ما كنتم تجمعون من الأموال والرجال في الدنيا، وما نفعكم استعلاؤكم عن الإيمان بالله وقَبول الحق.
